Unit: Southeast Asia
This lesson went really well and the students seemed to love it. The students were able to receive the correct notes through a class PowerPoint and discussion so that they could use those notes to help them with their project. The fill-in-the-blank worksheet was a new way to be taught material than the reoccurring use of the textbook. The fact that there were two different options for the Southeast Asia physical geography project was a highlight for students because they were able to pick which one they wanted to complete based on their talents. The journals and brochures turned out great! It was easy to see that the students really took their time when designing and putting details into their work and they were very proud of it. Below are some samples of some of the student's brochures and by looking at them, it is clear that the students not only grasped onto the directions of the project, but the content of the lesson as well.
